Pathways to Farming: Evaluating Your Options

Cost sharing is available for this course!   Click here to learn more.

This course is recommended for anyone who is fairly certain that they want a career in agriculture but doesn’t know what they want to focus on. During the two in class sessions participants will spend time narrowing their visions and evaluating what resources they have available to them. Through a variety of group exercises, class discussions and worksheets each participant will have the chance to explore the different enterprises they are interested in and which one might be right for them. By the end of the course you will have a basic proposal for what your business could look like and an action plan to take you forward. The second session will include a panel of experienced farmers sharing their ideas and answering questions. A farm tour will also be included between in class sessions.
